I wish that I could have d...What a wonderful story! I wish that I could have done that in my evening drive through trip of '78, but I know that the others in the motor home wouldn't have allowed it. They didn't even want to give me the few minutes I had to gaze, imagine and take quick photos of what we could find. Can you believe that I didn't find Zochert's book till the 80s?<br />Btw, my family stopped in Savannah, GA on the way home from FL one year so that Jamie and I could see Juliette Gordon Lowe's birthplace...only to find out it was closed on Wednesdays, the day we happened to be traveling through. But wait! There was a woman doing inventory in the shop so I knocked on the window and explained our situation. She very kindly let us in and shop. Plus she took us into the courtyard. She would have let us into the house, but it was being thoroughly cleaned because the Girl Scout big wigs were visiting the next day.
