Fifi, part 2

Last week I got the chance to share a preview of Fifi O'Neill's upcoming "Prairie Style" magazine with you. After I wrote that post, something really exciting happened - Fifi O'Neill READ MY BLOG! Not only that but she sent me the sweetest email and offered to do something that confirmed that she's the most amazing person ever. I was walking on clouds the rest of the day!

So I was extra excited when I found the new issue of another one of her magazines out in the stores. I love this mag but this issue is the best one I've read so far. So many houses that speak my language!

I'm kind of filled with inspiration these days, so many projects running around inside my head.

Even Shifu wants to get into the act and paint something. He's my best helper.

Did you notice the blue bench in the pictures. It's my very first painting project, just finished it up last weekend and I can't stop looking at it...or taking pictures of it. I can't wait to tell you all about it.

Here's a little sneak peak of the before and after to tide you over until I can tell the whole story.

Have a beautiful weekend!

  1. Oh...my...gosh! That is so awesome and exciting that Fifi emailed you!!! I can only imagine how thrilled you were:)

Your bench looks gorgeous, I love the color! Last night my husband and I went out for ice cream at a really popular little ice cream place here. It was so packed we ended up parking way in the back by the dumpster...what did I spy but a little wicker table that came home with me:) I painted it and it looks so much better! It's quite warped in the middle so I'm going to get some glass cut later this week.

Can't wait to see more of your projects!

  4. Awwww Jonni, I so agree with you ..Fifi is amazing, she and Mark photographed my home last year for Romantic Country magazine and spending all day I to the eve was shear delight, I have also spent a weekend with her in Santa Barbara CA. For the shoot on her soon to be released Prairie Wedding style. I can tell you it is amazing, although inspires weddings by all means this will be a coffee table book to love. It's all about beautiful settings and inspiring ideas for events of functions.
It's going to feel like you are reading one of here magazines with homes, gardens, prairie lands and sea side entertaining, I assure you this is a book even if you are not planning a wedding, it's one to have for there dreamy pages.
My daughter is a bride in the book, and many of my pieces stage a French garden wedding in Santa Barbara Ca.

I am sure you will post this book when it is released :)

Thank you dear for taking the time to visit my place, inspiring a sweet French wire Easter Basket.
