"I'd like to add some beauty to life," said Anne dreamily. "I don't exactly want to make people KNOW more... though I know that IS the noblest ambition... but I'd love to make them have a pleasanter time because of me... to have some little joy or happy thought that would never have existed if I hadn't been born.”

correction
I stand corrected - I do not just have 1 reader, I think I have at least 3 and their names are Laurie, Laura and Lauri. And my favorite author is Laura Ingalls Wilder. Coincidence or not?
I saw your post earlier and wasn't sure if you were refering to me or Laura, but it's a third person! BTW, I did go by Lori until I started Kindergarten. Anyway, I am so sorry to hear about your doggie. It seems like after a number of dogs you would get more jaded, but it seems to get harder.
Well, Frank pronounces Laurie as Lori, which I do NOT like...but after almost 30 yrs, it's like snoring, you don't hear it anymore. :) hee hee...okay, that's lame, we DO hear snoring still. I think it's great to be in such fine company of Laur**s. :)

ReplyDeleteI used to go by Laurie when I was very young. Unless I was in trouble - then it was Laura Jean. And I do faithfully follow you!
ReplyDeleteHmph. Feeling very left out over here...!
ReplyDeleteEver think of changing your name from Zoie to Lori?
ReplyDeleteWell, think of how I feel. I read. I comment. And I wasn't included on either post.
ReplyDeleteTake your time. I can still tear up over Agatha.
Laura - did I know your middle name was Jean same as mine?
